Job Description

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented WIP Accountant with at least 2+ years of experience in construction or project-based accounting. This role will focus on managing work-in-progress (WIP) in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain monthly WIP schedules and related reports.

  • Monitor and reconcile underbilling and overbillings.

  • Support project managers and accounting leadership with job cost analysis and revenue tracking.

  • Assist with project reconciliations, forecasts, and financial close activities.

  • Ensure data accuracy within NetSuite ERP and related systems.

  • Participate in process improvements as WIP tracking transitions from manual to automated systems.

  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and provide timely follow-up on outstanding items.
Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of recent experience working with WIP  

  • Construction industry experience required (manufacturing or project-based environment also considered).

  • Proficient understanding of underbilling and overbilling concepts.

  • Experience with NetSuite ERP or similar accounting software.

  • Strong Excel skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in managing priorities.

  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
