Provider Contracting Manager

Job Description
What you’ll do:
- Lead contract negotiations with hospitals, physician groups, and ancillary providers
- Develop strategies that strengthen network competitiveness, reduce costs, and improve access
- Negotiate fee-for-service, value-based, and alternative payment arrangements
- Identify network gaps and recruit new providers
- Analyze contract performance and work with finance/actuarial teams on forecasting
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation requirements
- Manage and mentor a team of contracting specialists and analysts
- Represent the organization in provider meetings, events, and forums
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Admin, Economics, or related field (Master’s a plus)
- 5–7+ years of experience in provider contracting, network development, or managed care
- Strong knowledge of reimbursement models (FFS, DRG, RBRVS, capitation, bundled payments, value-based care)
- Proven negotiation skills with complex provider organizations
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
- Excellent relationship-building, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience in Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, or ACA markets preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
