Job Description
Position Summary:
The Director of Accounting oversees all day-to-day accounting operations, ensures the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintains strong internal controls. This hybrid role provides leadership to the accounting team, partners with senior management on financial strategy, and drives process improvements to support scalable growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the accounting team, including AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger functions.

Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial statements.

Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant regulatory requirements.

Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.

Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

Partner with Finance leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow planning.

Manage annual audits and act as primary contact for external auditors.

Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency through improved processes, automation, and system upgrades.

Prepare and present financial reporting and insights to senior leadership.

Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional financial analyses.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred.

7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.

Experience in a hybrid or flexible work environment preferred.

Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and continuous improvement.
Work Environment:

Hybrid schedule: Typically 2–3 days per week in office (adjustable based on business needs).
