Job Description
Overview:
A well-established organization is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Lead to supervise the daily operations and support the AP team. This role requires strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of AP processes, and a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support a team of 4–6

Ensure timely, accurate processing of transactions
-
Review purchase order workflows and recommend internal control improvements
-
Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and payment issues
-
Drive efficiency by promoting proper use of AP systems and identifying training opportunities
-
Assist with system enhancements, automation tools, and ERP upgrades
-
Track team KPIs and share regular reporting with leadership
-
Support audit preparation and ensure compliance with company policies and GAAP standards
-
Contribute to invoice resolution as needed
Must Have:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)

5+ years of accounts payable experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory role

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general accounting/ERP software
-
Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
