Position Overview:
The SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial reporting processes meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance. This position requires a deep understanding of SEC regulations, GAAP, and the nuances of preparing a company for public listing.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all SEC reports, including F1, 10-K, 10-Q, and other regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant SEC and GAAP standards.
- Lead the implementation of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Develop and maintain robust internal controls over financial reporting.
- Manage the quarterly and annual financial statement close process.
- Coordinate with external auditors to ensure timely and efficient audit processes.
- Provide technical accounting guidance for complex transactions and new business initiatives.
- Assist in the preparation and review of earnings releases and other financial communications.
- Support the finance team in M&A activities and integration of new entities.
- Develop and deliver training on SEC reporting and technical accounting topics to finance and accounting staff.
- Stay updated on changes in SEC regulations and GAAP to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure cohesive and comprehensive financial reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA required.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including public accounting and industry experience.
- Extensive experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal control frameworks (IFRS knowledge a plus).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Experience with IPO preparation and execution is plus.
- Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools; experience with ERP systems (SAP) is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Some international travel maybe required (10%)
