Job Description


Our client is seeking a professional with the development, operation, and upkeep of DevSecOps tools and automation for a Cyber training program for the Department of Defense (DOD).


You'll be responsible for:

· Supporting software development, integrating third-party apps, and creating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts.

· Providing technical support for multiple development teams to create a functional and deployable system.

· Ensuring the DevSecOps environment enables automated testing and exploring new tech for improvements.

· Collecting data and metrics to track automation progress.

· Managing cloud resources across private, corporate, and public clouds.

 

Position Highlights:

· Performing various DevSecOps tasks, including creating and maintaining automation scripts, managing security controls, and handling network configurations.

· Helping deploy applications in a Kubernetes environment using modern tools.

· Collaborating with a team to automate system configuration and deployment.

· Scripting in different languages.

· Using configuration management tools to track baselines.

· Solving real-world problems following best practices.

· Assisting the team in efficient use of DevSecOps tools.

· Troubleshooting system issues, documenting results.

 

Required Skills/ Experience:

· Experience in DevSecOps, DevOps, or IT/Security automation.

· Knowledge of DevSecOps using cloud best practices.

· Strong Linux experience.

· Familiarity with private and hybrid cloud operations.

· Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization.

· Ability to work with VMware and Amazon Web Services.

· Handling documentation and communication.

· Collaborating with developers.

· Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.

· 3+ years of relevant work experience preferred.

· Certifications are a plus.
