Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our growing client's Corporate Accounting team as a Staff Accountant! Great opportunity for a candidate looking to transition out of Public Accounting or if you have large Company Corporate Accounting experience and are looking for a challenge and growth path. This position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely completion of the month-end close process, with a focus on preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing financial data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the month-end close process, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing variances.
  • Work closely with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Collaborate with other accounting teams on various projects, including process improvements and system implementations.
  • Maintain accurate and organized accounting records, including supporting documentation for journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors, as well as other stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a corporate accounting environment.
  • CPA or CPA tracking is preferred
  • Experience with month-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
