Job Description
Our customer is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join their global operations team.
This person will have advanced experience in engineering modern, large-scale, corporate network environments with solid understanding of security principles, infrastructure, and data protection practices. The focus for this role will be improving the layered network security controls, specifically web security, access control, and cloud security. Candidates should also be proficient in configuring Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls. Must be familiar with planning, testing, and implementing new security technologies and security configurations to prevent and detect malicious attacks.
This position is fully remote, but will have to sometimes work on an international time zone.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the security measures for hardware devices encompassing laptops, monitors, mobile phones, and MAC laptops.
- Drive on-premises security initiatives, ensuring a robust security posture.
- Leverage expertise in VMware NSX, Linux, and AWS Cloud to fortify network infrastructure.
- Design and implement security protocols for all hardware endpoints.
- Proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities and emerging threats.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years in a hands-on network engineering role
- Proven ability to successfully participate on a globally diverse team and achieve collective goals and objectives.
- Worked within ITIL and ISO best practices.
- Solid/advanced experience with Routing Protocols, DHCP/DNS, LAN/WAN, Virtualization, VLANs (iSCSI, Out of Band Networks, IoT), VPN, Security, Systems Management
- years of hands-on experience in network engineering with a focus on hardware security.
- Proficiency in VMware NSX, Linux, and AWS Cloud configurations.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or equivalent.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
