Job Description
Process Engineer – Quality Systems & Process Control
This role leads the development and oversight of quality systems and process control strategies for vinyl siding production at our Holly Springs, MS facility. The Process Engineer will drive initiatives to minimize process variation, establish preventive controls, and ensure adherence to quality standards. Collaborating with Manufacturing, R&D, Central Engineering, Product Management, and other key functions, the incumbent will focus on achieving organizational goals through robust process control and quality systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the Process Engineering function at the Holly Springs facility.
- Partner with site leadership and Engineering to promote Operational Excellence through effective process controls and designs.
- Manage process and product validation to ensure outputs meet specifications.
- Design and implement sustainable processes and improvements for new and existing products, including documentation, visual management, and training.
- Stay current on advancements in materials, process technology, and product applications to ensure optimal methods and materials are utilized.
- Work with site operations to troubleshoot processing issues and develop control and reaction procedures for operators.
- Collaborate with leadership, Engineering, and Operations to plan and execute experiments, optimizing process windows and implementing engineering improvements.
- Lead data collection, analysis, and presentation of findings/recommendations to leadership and R&D teams.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure process standardization to reduce variation.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required).
- 10+ years of Quality/Process Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred).
- Strong understanding of quality philosophies, principles, systems, methods, and tools (required).
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills (required).
