Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPANY HIGHLIGHTS:
- Assist in creating, maintaining, updating, and modifying new and renewal business plan documents.
- Research and amend medical plan documents including Summary of Benefits & Coverage (SBC), Summary Plan Description (SPD), Benefit Plan Descriptions (BPD), Summary of Material Modifications (SMM), and Summary of Material Reductions (SMR).
- Incorporate new wording to support legislative or administrative changes in plan documents.
- Manage the inventory of documents, track the status from initial need through publication, and monitor for future edits while meeting deadlines.
- Modify benefit design and information in plan documents using templates or existing documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in a healthcare or benefits TPA setting.
- 2+ years of experience in claims handling, quality control, or plan document management in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with various types of Plan Documents, including SBC, SPD, BPD, SMM, and SMR.
- Proficiency in standard computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
