Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Lead the annual audit process, collaborating with external auditors to ensure timely completion and accurate reporting.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, offering insights and recommendations to optimize performance and drive profitability. - Evaluate and implement process improvements to streamline financial operations and enhance efficiency.
Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital management to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation. - Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including finance, legal, and operations, to support business initiatives and drive alignment.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting regulations and industry trends, ensuring ongoing compliance and best practices.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
- Prior experience in public accounting strongly preferred, with exposure to audit or assurance services.
- Strong technical knowledge of GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Proficiency in financial software systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
