Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Locate and notify customers with delinquent accounts by phone, email, and mail to obtain payment.
- Research customer account information and address questions and concerns.
- Record information about the financial status of customers and the status of collection efforts.
- Notify the manager when all collection efforts have been exhausted so the account can be placed with an outside collection agency.
- Negotiate with the customer and discuss payment arrangements/options with the manager when necessary.
- At least 6 months of collections experience.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
- High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
- Analytical Skills: Ability to use critical thinking and reasoning to solve problems.
- Presentation Skills: Ability to effectively present information to others.
- Assertiveness: Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate the completion of a work assignment or defend a position or idea.
