A mission-driven company in Philadelphia is looking for an AP Clerk/Accounting Assistant t to join their growing team.


As a Contract AP Clerk/Accounting Assistant, you will work closely with our Controller and contribute to the smooth functioning of our finance department. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance team and Controller as needed.

  • AP Data Entry: Accurately enter and process accounts payable transactions in our accounting system.

  • AP Filing: Maintain organized records of accounts payable invoices and documentation.

  • Basic Bookkeeping/AP Tasks: Assist in basic bookkeeping activities, such as reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports.

  • Support to Controller: Collaborate with the Controller to handle various finance-related tasks and special projects as needed.


  • Previous experience in an accounting or finance-related role is a plus, but not required.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data entry.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to adapt and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • A strong work ethic and a willingness to take on a variety of tasks.
